Lovely hotel (Magic La Massana) with excellent staff. The bar is the most lively place in the village, and the staff were 10/10. They were great. Food is very good and catered for a number of dietary requirements no problem. Reception staff were very helpful and made us feel very welcome.

The booking of the holiday was easy and well priced . The hotel was great and had the added bonus of a good bar . The food was good and they had a free bar at new year. The only down side of the holiday was we were not advised where to collect our skis the receptionist did not advise us of an envelope that was awaiting us until we had been to a ski shop and advised we had to collect an envelope from the hotel. We were also not advised we had to book a breakfast for our earlier departure. On arrival at the airport we had to wait for 2 hours for a transfer .

Hotel is good but there's a huge language barrier for English speaking guests. We returned one of the maids fleeces to reception and was given a 15 euro laundry charge for their fleece.. Also we booked the sauna/pool for 10 euro each then got there and because we didn't have a hair cap and flip flops they wanted to charge us a further 7 euro. So we just said no thanks. But all in all the staff are friendly. Location to pal gondola is really good though. Night life is a bit woeful though.

Hotel in good location. Requested way, way in advance for 2 double rooms close to each other - ended up with 2 twin rooms, one on 3rd floor and one on 5th floor. Room (317) was tiny and far too small for a skiing trip - nowhere for ski gear. In-room facilities non-existent (kettle, iron, glasses, etc.), nowhere to sit and room decor was depressing. Not 4 star accommodation. On the plus side, the staff were excellent and the food was really good considering it was buffet service. Other factors to consider: The spa was pathetic - and 12 euros per day, limited to 1 hour, and had to wear swimming hats in a pool that was too small to swim in (room for about 2-3 people at any time). We always book a hotel with sauna / steam room as we need this after a day on the slopes (at our age) to help keep us mobile. We will not return to this hotel on the basis of the poor spa facilities.
