With approximately 210 km (130 ml) of pistes the ski area of Ischgl and Samnaun are paradise for both skiers and boarders. The area is also known as the Silvretta Skiregion, the cross border area comprising the Austrian resort of Ischgl and the Swiss resort of Samnaun. The majority of the 40 ski lifts (90%) and pistes are located on the Northern slopes at an altitude above the 2000 metre mark, thus guarantying a steady snowfall. For snowboarders Ischgl has a half pipe and a snow park called Boarders Paradise. The Silvretta cross country track is approximately 48 km (30 ml) long and it conveniently connects the ski villages of Ischgl and Galtür. If you want to take a break from skiing for a day, a visit to the car free Swiss village of Samnaun is well worth while. You can take advantage of the village being tax free and really enjoy your shopping here!
With a lift pass for this area you can ski at the fantastic ski resort of Ischgl with 210 km (130 ml) of interconnected pistes - Galtür (40 km / 25 ml piste), See (30 km / 20 ml piste) and Kappl (40 km / 25 ml piste). All these resorts can easily be reached with the ski bus service (approx. € 1,- per return).
